Student Choice Project

First Proposal: By using depth of field, I will capture the beauty in old and rustic objects. I will be taking pictures in the decaying part of the Akron area and showing the beauty in the things that are unappreciated. 

Statement: I used depth of field and sharpening to emphasize the beauty in the flowers through impoverished areas. As I started this project, I only wanted to show beauty in the rustic objects but after visiting downtown, I saw so many flowers that really stood out in the deteriorating parts of Akron. I used my old dog and horse to portray the unrecognized beauty in the old. Taking pictures in downtown Akron through decaying objects showed the beauty in considered "trashy" areas proving that beauty is everywhere.
