Twenty Questions

Meg Tucci
I like this picture showing a depth of field effect in the hands and cards. Sharpening the cards and hands, and the use of a black and white filter gives this picture mystery and overall cool effect. The covering of the cards gives the image unexplainable engagement.
Brittany Williams
I love the use of montage from different angles. It dramatizes this image leaving it a mystery.  I love the colorful books in the background which adds to the mystery behind very page.
Alyssa Eckman
I chose this picture because of how the light contrasts with the face of the boy. Having the eyes only showing makes this picture mysterious. The book adds to the statement of an unsolved mystery.

Double Negative
Tia Sahlani
This is one of my favorite pictures Tia took this year. I love how opposites attract and the use of paint really makes this image stand out. The darks features of the friend wearing the white shirt contradicts the light featured friend with the black shirt showing double negative.
Meg Tucci
I love Jenna's eyelashes in this picture. The contrast and lighting emphasizes her eyes making this picture unique. This picture fits well as the audience sees double the eyelashes.
Alyssa Eckman
I love the contrast in this picture. The big window with even the little detail in the tree is a great effect in this picture. The double negativity is shown through the gloomy day and the wandering hand.

Collide
Brittany Williams
This picture has many things to offer. I see this picture as she collided them together, giving this tourist feel. The tall buildings and the fancy meal looks like it was pulled right off the streets in France.
Tia Sahani
I love the way Tia used Collide in this picture. Through the affection of both individuals we see this connection. I like the slight color shown through the picture giving it a soft tone.
Danny McRaven
This is a great action shot caught at the best moment. The color difference in the shirt really helps the girl stand out from the nature background. This is a great picture of collision at such precise timing.

Meltdown
Sam Hier
I really like the filter put on this picture to give it the full effect. The different streaks on her face really make the photo unique. The emotion on Sam's face sells this image as she has really gone through something.
Bella Bendo
I like the boys eyes in this photo. The focal point of the face dramatizes this picture and makes this picture a great effect. The boy's emotions really look like he has been through something dramatic.
Lauren Reymann
This is one of my favorite pictures Lauren took this year. This photo is set up quite perfectly. The lighting of the candles shows the perfect focal point of the face. The face is perfect with the dripping of black down the face. I love even the details of the lighting in between the fingers.

Interior/Exterior
Danny McRaven
I like the angle of this picture. This is quite unique showing the dark shadowing of the leg to the boy in between. Danny put a whole new twist of inside out and it is intriguing.
Macy Petit
I like this picture for the little details seen at second glance. Not only the girl shown in the door, but  also the lighting shown off the brick. This lighting gives this picture a red tint which adds character. This is a perfect display of interior/exterior.

Sam Hier
I love the vibrant colors in this image. The red really pops but just enough not to distract you from the lit lightbulb. The broken glass with the lit flame is a simple way to show interior/exterior, but looks quite polished.

Drift
Vicky Woodburn
This is one of my favorite images Vicky took this year. I love everything about this picture especially the little details like the bird and purse. The purse makes this quite comical. I love contrast and shadowing shown and the differnt shades of green shown. As the man waits patiently, time is drifting.
Gracey Smith
I love this image Gracey took. She captured the sky at the perfect moment. Different shades of purple, pink, and orange peeking through the sky. The wind through the girls' hair happens at the best moment showing that the sunset is temporary and time is drifting.

Blythe McDermott
I love this image Blythe took. She captured her at the perfect time as she has her earphones in and she looks in complete isolation willing to go anywhere. I love the subway and black and white theme which dramatizes this photo.

Double Negative
Macy Petit
I like the use of montage Macy used. This picture has lot to look at, down to the way the little girl is dressed. I love the use of a black and white filter which darkens the image as the girl looks quite upset.
Jenna Kupcik
I love the perspective Jenna used in this image. The way she sharpened this image and contrasting color to make this image pop. The gloomy sky and the girl getting ready for a track meet with a sad face sounds looks like a double negative.
Lauren Reymann
I love the holding of hands in this image. The black and white paint is a perfect example of opposites.  I see this picture has opposites (black and white) coming together as one (opposites attract) which shows double negatives.

Night
Danny McRaven
I like the different themes shown through this image. I like the use of girl, but seen in her shadow is the moon. I thought this picture was an unique way to incorporate night with a twist.
Bella Bendo
I love the use of the dark parking lot. As the man looks beyond, the focal point becomes the lighting in the background giving this picture a great effect. This picture is definitely not just something to glance at.
Gracey Smith
This picture is one of my favorite images Gracey took. I love the stripes all around and the simple smile on her sister's face. She is dressed in her PJ's and looks like she is enjoying herself through the different shades of blue and purple.

Bouquet
Christina Miller
I love this picture Christina took. This looks quite professional. I love the arrange of flowers laid throughout her hair. The lighting is quite perfect giving her the perfect focal touch.
Sam Hier
I love the use of color in just the flowers only. It really grabs the theme of bouquet while exaggerating  the beauty of the flowers. I love the use of her mom to capture the one she loves and showing appreciation of beauty through nature.
Vicky Woodburn
This is the most creative bouquet image I saw. I love the replacement of hair for flowers. This image is quite detailed as she even put flowers in her little curls. I like the lighting giving her a glowing complexion with the flowers in her hair.

Corrosive
Abby McAllister
I like how mysterious this image looks. From the arrange of tools, it is uncertain exactly what happeneded to the man's hand. Darkening the image and the gush of blood were great effects to make this picture corrosive.
Gracey Smith
This picture is precious. I love emphasis on the knee with the little cut shown. The blur of the little girl helps keep the bandaid in focus. I love the use of pale colors to make this image melancholy.

Madison Stubbendieck
I like the use of bottles to show a corrosive theme. The knocked over bottles and the leg with darkening the light gives this idea that something crazy happened.

Student's Choice
Blythe McDermott
I really like this picture for the beautiful background of NYC. The shadowing also looks quite cool while showing some details in the building across the street not seen at first glance. I love the use of Abby on the ledge making this image look pensive.

Abby McAllister
The lighting is perfect in this photo. It gives enough light to see the questioning girl. I love how simple and elegant this photo looks especially through the black and white filter.

Christina Miller
I like the perespective used in this image. She did a nice job of sharpening the girls and getting the right lighting so that the background was not distarcting. I really like the opposties theme and how the girls dressed.

My Photos
I love the way I captured my friend Josie in this picture. The sunset and quite highway looks calming. I like how this moment caught her loveable smile and hair blowing in the breeze. This was a good picture for night showing the postives of the dark sky to come.
I love this image because it looks like something from the 90s. This pictured was truly captured nicely through the little old details from the TV, old looking control, to her Chucks. The cords wrapped around her show my best version of corrosive.

I really like the montage used in this image. It shows emotionally and physically how a meltdown felt. I love the use of makeup/lighting and my sister's emotions to dramtize this photo giving it it's full effect.
